On behalf of the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), it is my great honor to invite you to attend the virtual Capsule Endoscopy Global Summit (CEGS) 2020.

This year, the summit will adopt a hybrid format. With every crisis come unexpected opportunities. Although we are unable to welcome large number of attendees onsite in Chongqing, China, we are very hopeful that technology will help us to reach even more participants beyond the shore of China.

‘The future is now!’ is the theme of this year’s summit. With the collaborative efforts of WEO as well as the support of key scientific partners such as Chinese PLA General Hospital, Nanfang Hospital, Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, etc. CEGS 2020 will be an instrumental platform to provide continued education and training, exchange of ideas and research for medical practitioners in the precinct of gastroenterology. Specifically, capsule endoscopy will take center-stage with in-depth lectures and debates focusing on local and global topics. I am very sure CEGS 2020 will help you to broaden your perspective in capsule endoscopy and I look forward to your keen participation and to welcoming you to this virtual summit!
